
You never know where an idea might lead. A few weeks ago, I responded to a call for articles for the KDVA Journal (Korea Defense Veterans Association). Last year, the magazine featured my Korean War novel East of the Sun, but I wasn’t sure my new book, Land of the Morning Calm, would be a good fit since it’s set in 1903–1907. I decided to pitch it anyway, highlighting Korea’s spiritual legacy and the hope it offers for the peninsula’s future. Yesterday, the article was published. You can read it here on pages 32-33:
