When I sat down to write LAND OF THE MORNING CALM, scenes from EAST OF THE SUN, the first book in this series, stirred my imagination. Shelby Kichline and Parker Tate’s grandfathers had worked side by side in Korea nearly 50 years earlier, and their story needed to be told.
I’ve always been intrigued by how the past shapes and informs our present, and I wanted to build a story where that buried history was the heartbeat of the entire novel. Writing this book was a journey into those long-ago memories and the ways they echo through the generations. If you enjoy stories about legacy and ties that bind, this one is for you! #HistoricalFiction #LandOfTheMorningCalm #AuthorLife
