Saturday night was my EAST OF THE SUN book launch party and because my book takes place during the Korean War, we had the event at my favorite Korean Restaurant, Koja, in Easton, Pennsylvania. In this photo, I’m wearing an outfit that an extra used in the TV show M*A*S*H, and I’m with six of my high school friends. I’ve known one of them since I was three years old, and went to kindergarten with three of them. Everyone who came gave me such joy. I shared stories about the book and from the book, and we played games and ate some amazing food. I thank God for this wonderful send-off for EAST OF THE SUN!
