Read the Revolution – Morning Glory

Do you enjoy visiting historic sites? Do you have a favorite? When I was writing Morning Glory, Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church historian Wendy Wirsch gave me a tour of the grounds where George Whitefield preached. As I closed my eyes to 21st-century sounds, I could picture the scene from the 1730s. I also got to wander around the William Tennent homestead, where that venerable man and his wife entertained Whitefield. I still cherish the memory of that visit. (Drawing of Tennent’s Log College)

Stay tuned for the second month of Read the Revolution, when we’ll be diving into Easton at the Forks!
