Back in 1843, 68 years after the American Revolution, twenty-one year-old Dartmouth student Mellen Chamberlain interviewed a veteran of the 1775 Battle of Concord. Captain Levi Preston of Danvers, Massachusetts was, at that time, 91 years old, and Chamberlain wanted to know why he had taken up arms against the British.
Preston’s answer, recorded on my podcast, Anchor.frm/rebeccapricejanney, may surprise you. I pray it inspires you, for such a time as this.
