There are so very many inspirational stories surrounding the nation’s sixteenth President, and recently a few I’d never heard before came to light. They concern his soft spot when it came to America’s men in uniform and how he went out of his way to encourage them. One about a man blinded in the war proved especially touching.
You also might think when Lincoln visited a hospital treating Union wounded, he might have avoided the ward with the boys in gray. But he didn’t. I hope you’ll be inspired by his kindness as you listen to my latest podcast at Anchor.fm/rebeccapricejanney.
